Initial Consultations take approximately 1 3/4 hours. This comprehensive
appointment allows you and the doctor to go over your complete medical history, your living environment and environmental
factors that may be making your symptoms worse. Please bring any recent test results; blood work, x-rays, as well
as a complete list of all medications, including dose and frequency, you are currently taking. Together you and the
doctor will discuss dietary changes, environmental changes and possibly, a course of medication.
At this appointment,
the Dr. DeFusco may wish to begin skin testing.
is used to identify the substances that are causing your allergy symptoms. The doctor prefers
this method for most of his patients. Skin testing requires the allergen be injected under the skin,
in the upper arm area. It

For pediatric patients usually no more than 10 of these injections are
given in one office visit. For adult patients up to 15 injections may be given. It may take 1-2 subsequent
office visits to complete the skin testing.
If what you are currently taking is not on the list, please call the
office to see if you should stop taking it.
If you are currently taking a Beta-Blocker DO NOT stop taking it but please
notify the office staff.

packet. We ask that you print, complete it, and bring it with you to your consultation appointment.
Please give the office at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel this appointment. If the office is
